Won’t Ask Zardari to Resign: Nawaz Sharif

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has said that Asif Ali Zardari is a constitutional president and he has the mandate to complete his term.

While addressing to media after a one-on-one meeting with President Zardari at presidency on Wednesday, the nominated prime minister said that the meeting held in good environment, adding, forgetting the grievances of past, they want to move forward.

PML-N chief said everyone have to work together to resolve problems being faced by the country and country’s interests should be preferred over personal interests.

President Zardari said that presidency will fully cooperate with PML-N government and he already considered Nawaz Sharif as prime minister.

Zardari congratulated PML-N chief over his party’s historical win in the May 11 general elections and hoped that the elected government will cope with challenges successfully.

In reply to a question if the PPP will support Nawaz Sharif as prime minister, Zardari said that party president Amin Fahim will make decision in this regard as he has distanced himself from party matters.
