Nittambuwa Police said that a mother of two children, who sustained serious injuries due to a sudden fire in an incense sticks and mosquito coils manufacturing company in Yatiyana, Nittambuwa, succumbed to her injuries yesterday morning.
She was receiving treatments at the Colombo National Hospital in the past one and half months.The deceased named M.D.Nandawathi was a resident of Yatiyana, Nittambuwa.
The fire erupted in the incense sticks and mosquito coils manufacturing company on November 14. The victim, who was working at a machine at the time of the fire, was admitted to the Wathupitiwala Base Hospital with serious burn injuries, and was then transferred to the Colombo National Hospital.
