Story: Wolf Garden starts as William (David) has gone into hiding. He is joined by Chantelle (Altman) however, he starts hearing unusual noises from around the home. As the events become more confusing for William, he starts to get reminders he needs to remain hidden.
William starts to get more concerned about what is going on in the surrounding area. However, it is Chantelle that doesn’t seem to see anything wrong, until William remembers why they are in hiding.
Verdict on Wolf Garden
Wolf Garden is a horror thriller following a man struggling to accept the change in his partner. It sees them in hiding until strange noises make things more difficult for them both until he accepts the truth.
This is an interesting spin on the type of horror movie it wants to be. It holds back on the gore to give a human perspective of what is happening to the characters. However, this can hold things back a little too much, as we are left to see how it unfolds. Despite the main character William knowing a lot more than he shows. There just seems to be a struggle to bring the human touch to the human story to the horror.
Final Thoughts – Wolf Garden is an interesting spin, but lacks intensity behind the decision.
