“In 2013 we introduced the best smartphone in the world, but we never stopped challenging ourselves and the status quo in this category,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC. “Today I’m proud to launch the most stunning, intuitive and advanced handset that the industry has seen to date, the new HTC One (M8).”

With a re-crafted metal unibody design, the new HTC One comes 5-inch, full HD (1080p) display and gets powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Krait CPUs, 2GB of RAM, Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat and the all-new HTC Sense 6 with Motion Launch, which allows you to “interact with the phone without turning on the screen.”

The most notable feature of the phone is the two cameras on the back, one with 4MP Ultrapixel sensor and another one with 2 megapixels. This basically allows users to refocus an image even after capturing it. The new DotView case is also a nice surprise as it introduces a new glance screen to check time and weather.

The HTC One will be available globally in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold starting April 2014. The phone is already available for purchase in the US.
