Travel must be in my blood because I just can't keep still, visiting places all across America and also Canada last year just came naturally to me. I would like to think that my life is just one continuing adventure, full of surprise and new discoveries. March brought my trip to Dublin and Belfast, two cities in two days took some doing but I powered on nonetheless because you know I desperately seek an adventure! Taking two trips within England to Huddersfield and Northampton has been fun, also enjoying a day in London was great! Summer 2013 is fast approaching us, I must say it's currently looking very full on! Do you wish that you were here?
Que Viva España!! I'm off to sunny 'Spain' in July! I'll be making stops in 'Barcelona,' 'Sitges' and 'Tarragona'. During my two days in Barcelona I'm looking to see the 'Sagrada Familia' it looks amazing! You know that I can't wait to see sites like in the photo to the left, I need to get some research done! I booked this trip completely on a whim, it was during a time when the weather was dreadfully cold, so I decided I needed some sun! 'Las Ramblas,' will also be on my list of places to see whilst I am in Barcelona, I've seen pictures of it and it looks very cultural and super historical!
'Barcelona' will not be my only port of call during this Spanish adventure, oh no I have decided that after spending my first two days in 'Barcelona' I shall jump on the train to stay in 'Sitges,' a gay friendly seaside town which is only located thirty minutes away from 'Barcelona'. 'Sitges' looks extremely vibrant for a small seaside town, I have every confidence I shall have a great time and see the sights that are in this 'Catalunya' town. Aside from the nightlife I shall be enjoying the sun by relaxing on one of 'Sitges' many beaches, I will be spoilt for choice! Also if time permits I wouldn't mind an afternoon spent in the nearby town of 'Tarragona' as if two places won't satisfy me! Who knows?! I'm in search of some real 'Spain,' not the bucket and spade version that countless British tourists encounter each year, I am certainly looking for 'La Dulce Vida De España!'
Hoşgeldiniz Turkiye'nin! That means 'Welcome to Turkey!' I shall be jetting off to 'Turkey' in late July just a few weeks after my short trip to 'Spain!' I have been fortunate enough to have experienced many parts of this vast and endearing country. I shall be staying in the 'Calis Beach' area, which isn't too far from the nearby town of 'Fethiye'. It will be great to revisit this part of 'Turkey' because my American travels have meant I haven't been to this side of the world for two years. I have such a difficult life!
I won't just be staying 'Calis' as I will be spending a weekend in 'Turkey's' cultural capital, 'Istanbul!' I cannot tell you how excited I am to experience this city again, it's sure been some time since I was last in that city! I'll be off on my adventures seeing many different sights such as; the 'Blue Mosque', the 'Bosphorus' and also the district of 'Taksim'. I'm never daunted by the prospects of traveling independently to places that I'm not really familiar with, I look at each experience to be character building because its all a lesson for my life. Back to 'Calis' I'm looking forward to enjoying lots of the local 'Turkish' cuisine as it does taste amazing! Getting the best suntan by taking a boat trip around the bays of the 'Turquoise Coast' sounds like a great idea to me! You really don't know how excited I am to be going back to 'Turkey!' So, 'Turkey' I guess I shall be seeing you quite soon!
September shall see me and my brother travel to 'Amsterdam', it's going to be an eventful weekend for sure! Please don't think about all the stereotypical ideas that people have in their heads about 'Amsterdam' because our mission is to have a great weekend without taking things too seriously. We shall be visiting landmarks such as; 'Dam Square' and possibly taking a short cruise on the grand 'Canals' because that's just so! I won't lie about this next part because me and my brother are sensible young men, we will be going to the 'Coffee Shops' but I've got many friends that have visited the 'Coffee Shops' many times before and they haven't had a spot of bother, as long as we play by the rules we'll be fine because it's completely legal in 'Amsterdam'. This trip will signify my brother becoming an adult, you could say this trip is his 18th birthday present from me.
Our time in 'Amsterdam' will be short but we'll make it sweet! I think we will have a walk around the 'Red Light District' as this part of the city could be classed as another attraction, but I for one won't be indulging in temptations that will be on offer!!! That's just so basic!!! I have every confidence that the city of 'Amsterdam' will show us many of its intriguing sides that will amaze us! The hotel that we are staying in happens to be located right on the 'Canalside' since I don't visit a place and stay away from its main attraction! I'm actually quite looking forward to be going to 'Amsterdam' as its another country that I can add to my list. 'The Netherlands' better be ready for mine and my brothers arrival into 'Amsterdam's' 'Schiphol Airport' as its going to be one crazy weekend!
I understand that I have multiple trips booked for this year but I cannot help looking at a possible destination for early 2014. I have my sights set on a trip to 'Moscow', 'Russia'. There's so much that I could experience in 'Moscow', this city poses to be a winner in my opinion! One place I must go to is 'Moscow's 'Red Square' as it does look like an exciting but daunting place to visit. Whilst in 'Red Square' I would be able to ultimately marvel at 'Saint Basil's Cathedral' and also the 'Kremlin'. I will for sure have my wits about me, I am always wary wherever I go but if I went to 'Moscow' I feel an extra air of caution would have to be adopted.
Being cultured sounds like a good idea to me, as I would love to watch a performance at the 'Bolshoi' the home of the 'Russian National Ballet'. I'm off to see the ballet this June in 'Birmingham' but can't help to think what sort of a show the 'Russians' put on! Getting to 'Moscow' couldn't be any easier since 'Easyjet' have launched weekly services from 'Manchester' and 'London Gatwick' airports to 'Moscow Domodedovo' airport, I've been crafty by checking flight prices for January 2014 and have been amazed by how cheap the fares are! I do hope to be writing a blog titled 'From Russia With Love' in the near future! Maybe one day soon I shall get to experience the delights of 'Moscow?'
Sorry! I forgot to add that I'm off to 'Bordeaux', 'France' in 15 days !!! J'adore La France !!!Travel Is Good For The Soul !!! Time Waits For No One !!! Desperately Seek That Adventure !!!
