There's something about winter that gives me inspiration to cook more meals! Let's face it, no one wants to slave away in a kitchen during the Summer so salads usually suffice! But when the weather is dreary and it's cold enough for hats and gloves, you're probably going to want something hot, comforting and filling for dinner! For me, my favorite winter warmer has to be Beef Stew and Dumplings, full of yummy root veg, homemade dumplings, with a side of garlic mash and extra peas! YUM! (Mum if you're reading, i'm talking about yours!), it just takes me back to my childhood and makes me feel all toasty inside! I love trying new foods and experimenting with cooking, but I like it to be simple and tasty and not have to spend £40 on ingredients for just one meal either, at the end of the week we tend to look in the fridge, cupboards and drawers and try and make one final meal using what's left over, it's actually pretty fun to do and means you're not wasting any food either! Everyone has a different idea of winter warmers, the recipes below are my favourites online and are all bookmarked for me to try too! Which is your favourite?
