Windows 10 will launch in 190 countries this summer, Microsoft has announced.
The operating system will be available as a free upgrade to PC users running Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 for the first year following its release.
Microsoft's latest graphics tech DirectX 12 is also expected to ship alongside the new OS, along with a new Xbox app that lets PC and console players access functionality of Xbox Live, including Friends, Messages, Achievements and the Activity Feed.
Windows 10 gamers will also be able to play against Xbox One users and vice-versa in certain titles, including Fable Legends, and stream Xbox One titles to PC over a local network.
