A singer-songwriter who played the BBC Introducing Stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, there are plenty of high hopes that Will Joseph Cook will bring his quirks and originality to a more mainstream crowd. ‘A Minute of Your Time’ is acoustic based, but has plenty of experimental goings-on to keep anyone interested.
Full of outstanding individuality, the wailed vocals blend perfectly into the atmospherics in this track that showcases the artist’s versatility. Coming across like a brilliantly deranged mixture of Badly Drawn Boy, Duke Special and the Voluntary Butler Scheme, Will asks: ‘Help me now cause I’m falling down right to the ground’. You’d be foolish not to reach out and grab his arm.
