It's my first summer in the south and from what I've heard, it doesn't exactly get cool for quite awhile. And because fall is my absolute favorite season, this makes me a little sad. But just because the temps aren't as cool, doesn't mean I have to skip out on fall fashion. I refuse to!
To find inspiration, I headed to Target and picked up InStyle and Vogue... the Fashion Bibles if you will (side note, purchase these two or one of these and Elle and get a $5 Target gift card. Offer ends Saturday so hurry!) But I love looking at the new trends for the fall season and getting ideas on how I can incorporate them into the wardrobe I already have. Of course there's always room for new additions but I try and mix the old with the new!
Animal prints are totally trendy this fall (but if you ask me, animal prints are ALWAYS trendy) and I love, love, love these pants. They're loose and light, perfect for this southern heat. I paired them with a light black top but any neutral top would go perfectly as well.
According to InStyle, Berry lips are in this season too, so I branched out and tried it. I have to say, I'm loving it. I'm usually a red lips kind of girl but I feel like this shade is a little more versatile and day time appropriate as well.
I'm also loving the green trend this fall; any shade so that makes it super easy to wear what's already in your closet! And the western style boots... I'm down for cowboy boots any day of the week :)
Just because it's still 90 degrees doesn't mean I can't dress for fall; wearing colors, prints, and getting stepping outside of my comfort zone makes it possible to stay cool while staying on trend.
What fall trends are you most excited about? Where do you find inspiration?
