Years ago, during my first interview, I was asked to explain why I had chosen to become a poet.
"I didn't choose anything. Poetry chose me," I answered jokingly.
As more and more people repeated that question, I realized that my response perfectly defined the word "passion".
This compelling desire to do something that fulfills my soul has factored in every project in which I have been involved. It is with me during the day and the reason I sleep at night as well. Without passion, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
I rarely write poems now. Yet, when I do, my heart sings.
My work as a social media professional, blogger, content curator, and author brings me joy.
When I take photographs, the adult and child in me meet and learn from each other. It's an incredible experience I want to repeat over and over again.
In a nutshell, my passions make me feel whole.
You should feel the same way about yours.
Passion is one great force that unleashes creativity, because if you're passionate about something, then you're more willing to take risks. - Yo-Yo Ma
