Why I Support Women’s Rights

By Lindsayleighbentley @lindsayLbentley

At the heart of the Pro-Choice movement is one recurring theme:

Women’s Rights.

So I have a question: what about the rights of the unborn woman?

How is it that we can so easily dismiss the rights of this unborn man or woman before they even have the opportunity to stand in a picket line or go before congress?

Why are the rights of only certain women being protected and not the rights of all women, including infant ones…women fetuses?

It’s hypocrisy in it’s most basic form.

It’s saying that one woman’s rights are more important than another’s, and this defies human rights at it’s very core.

And no, it’s not the same as the death penalty.   The death penalty is much more humane and rare than abortion.  The person receiving the death penalty has been tried and proven guilty of a crime that makes them a severe danger to society.

Tell me, what crime like this has a baby committed to deserve a painful, torturous death?

So yes, I support women’s rights.  I support human rights.  And it is because of this that I cannot support abortion.

Until the day I die I will stand for and fight for women’s rights…true, all-encompassing woman’s rights that includes all people.

Even and especially for the ones who can’t speak for themselves.

Live well. Be well.
