Why Fresh Content Matters

Internet success is largely measured by a website’s ranking in search engine results. A website with an attractive design, interesting graphics, and meaningful content is of little value if it fails to be easily discovered by search engines. The quest to make it to the top of search engine results isn’t merely a mission to increase website traffic;  it’s also about increasing brand recognition, trust, and visibility.

The highly coveted number one position on search engine result pages is not easily achieved through black hat search engine optimization techniques such as keyword stuffing and link buying. As search algorithms continue to evolve, websites with high quality content will rank higher, while sites stuffed with disjointed keywords and low quality links will sink. One of the key tenets of achieving high quality content and search engine success is fresh content. The increased importance of fresh content is especially true within the context of Google’s Freshness Algorithm.
