Whose That Girl?

By Cait @caitscozycorner

Synopsis:
A laugh-out-loud romance from the author of the bestselling YOU HAD ME AT HELLO! When Edie is caught in a compromising position at her colleagues’ wedding, all the blame falls on her – turns out that personal popularity in the office is not that different from your schooldays. Shamed online and ostracized by everyone she knows, Edie’s forced to take an extended sabbatical – ghostwriting an autobiography for hot new acting talent, Elliot Owen. Easy, right?Wrong. Banished back to her home town of Nottingham, Edie is not only dealing with a man who probably hasn’t heard the word ‘no’ in a decade, but also suffering an excruciating regression to her teenage years as she moves back in with her widowed father and judgy, layabout sister. When the world is asking who you are, it’s hard not to question yourself. Who’s that girl? Edie is ready to find out.

My Thoughts:

I actually flew through this book a lot quicker than I thought as I got sucked into the character building of Edie and the language ( very British! ) which I adore. My favorite aspect of Who's That Girl is the take on social media. Like most people, Edie is addicting to her phone and built an online image of best self, so when it comes crashing down she has an identity crisis. I thought it was interesting reading about our online selfs in comparison to our real self. How easy it is to make judgements of people we don't know online or only seeing a small part of how people can portray themselves.

I thought this book was a very emotional, heart-warming and kick butt attitude. The relationship between Edie and her family, her friends, the adorable setting of Nottingham and how we all handle tough situations with the best of our ability.

Do you have a favorite Romantic Comedy novel?Have you ever been in a situation like Edie's?
