Who doesn't love Mexican? If you don't...maybe it's time you try your own savory dish!
What you'll need:-One pepper (or more depending on how many you're making)-1 package of Trader Joe's Brown Rice (microwaveable makes it easier)-1 Jar of Tostito's Queso Blanco Cheese Sauce (yes I cheated a little)-Onion Powder-Garlic (because YUM)-Ground Turkey -Olive Oil-1 Baking Sheet-1 spoon-1 Knife-1 Frying Pan/ Cooking Pan How To:Step 1: Start the stove and place the cooking pan over one of the burners, turn it up to Medium-High. Drizzled olive oil over the cooking pan until it's about half way coated. Step 2: Place in the raw ground turkey. Let cook until it begins to appear cooked.Step 3: Take a spatula and begin to chop the turkey and flip it to cook it through.Step 4: Sprinkle garlic powder over turkey to give it that extra YUM. (don't overdo it. three shakes should do the trick) Step 5: While that is finishing cooking, microwave the brown rice. (the Trader Joe's rice usually takes about 3 minutes) Step 6: Place the turkey on a paper plate to cool. Rinse the cooking pan.Step 7: Place the cooking pan back on the burner. This time cover the pan a quarter of the way with olive oil.Step 8: Pour the package of rice into the pan (it should still be set to medium-high)Step 9: Shake the onion powder over 3 times and the garlic powder over the rice 3 times. That should be perfectly seasoned. Sometimes you can add a bit of black pepper to give it kick. Step 10: While the rice is cooking further, microwave the queso blanco to heat it up slightly.Step 11: Once the cheese dip is melted, pour about half the jar into the pan with the rice and mix it in well.Step 12: Proceed to mix in the ground turkey to the rice and cheese.Step 13: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees on bake.Step 14: Cut out the top of the pepper (while the rice is finishing cooking) and spoon out the pepper seeds so that the inside and top of the "cap" of the pepper are free of seeds. Step 15: Turn the stove burner off. Then take the spoon and spoon the rice into the pepper until it is full. Step 16: After the pepper is full, place it and it's cap onto the baking sheet and place it in the oven.Step 17: Bake the pepper for 13-15 minutes depending on how fast your oven heats. Step 18: Your Mexican Stuffed Pepper(s) is ready to serve! Step 19: ENJOY! xoBCC
