I heard this song for the first time on Sirius yesterday. I knew the band from their two biggest hits, “Promises, Promises” and “Always Something There To Remind Me.” Promises, Promises can be found on the blog HERE.
Today’s song is from the same album as the two other songs. It was released in the UK during March of 1983 from the band’s debut album, Burning Bridges. It came to the US and Canada a month later as a self-titled release.
It spent 14 weeks on Billboard and went to #37 on the Hot 100. Above is the official music video.
Somehow, in my previous entry on the band, I didn’t realize that Rob Fisher, keyboardist of the duo, had passed away from cancer in 1999. He will be added to the memorial page. Rest in Peace, Rob.
