So today was the busiest day I have ever had at work. It was my last day there before the VERY important conference, so I had to finalise my big report, my presentation and make sure everything was in order before I leave for over a week. HECTIC isn’t the word. Tomorrow I’m in London handing the hard copies of my report to the London boss and a panel of reviewers. Then one day at home packing etc before it’s off to Brighton.
Anyway, enough of my life. Here’s the outfit I wore.
The weather was ridiculously humid, and I was swelteringly hot whilst running round like a mad man. I’m glad I went comfy and casual, though perhaps I misjudged it with jeans and a double-layer top – it was just too warm. I love this grey jersey top. You can throw it over so many things for added warmth (obv not needed today) or just to jazz up a plain tee a bit. I teamed it with the fail-safe black v-neck today, my light blue skinnies I wear all the time and these pumps. They are new (see my River Island Haul May 2012). which makes them incredibly uncomfortable atm. I wore them to work to try and break them in a bit, and consequently my feet are now suffering. A few more wears and I’m sure they’ll be just fine though.
The chaos called for a minimal fuss hair-do – the trusted messy bun with an alice band to pull the fringe off my face. The pearls were as usual the only other accessory.
I’ve realised as I’ve been writing my blog that I go through stages with my wardrobe. I had a smart casual stage – shirts and blazers, and now I’m going through a casual young adult style. Have a look at yesterday’s post, and the post here to see what I mean. Obviously, in a couple of days is the big work thing so you’ll get to see a change again this time some smart workwear attire.
Pop back soon,
