It was a sunny Sunday afternoon, and like so many weekends, we had planned to visit The Boy’s parents for dinner in the evening. With this in mind, I decided to finally wear this gorgeous peach polka-dot dress I snapped up at Primark a while back – see here.
I am terrible for impulse shopping. I’m forever buying items which I have very little reality of wearing very often just because I feel head over heels in love with them. This dress was one such purchase. It’s absolutely beautiful, all flowing and feminine, and it fits a treat but isn’t really something I can wear everyday on the 9-5.
Consequently, I like to make Sunday my dress-up day. A day where I can wear anything because a) it’s Sunday and b) I really don’t care.
I don’t really like accessorizing with black, but since the dots on the dress are black I justified it in this instance. A little black belt with gold detailing just finished off the dress, turning it into an outfit, as well as black pumps and a black cardi.
I’d also like to point out my hair. I very rarely do much with it, most days just wearing it down in a kind of messy dishevelled look. However on rare occasiosn where I feel like a change or it’s looking a but lacklustre I backcomb and pin it to create this do. It’s actually really simple, quick and easy and I’m contemplating perhaps doing a little tutorial on it. What do you think?
