What to Look for in a Pushchair!

Long-lasting
Finding one that can be used the day they are out of the hospital right up until they are 3/4 is probably recommended! A baby travel system is perfect for just that, they are a pre-packaged set that includes a baby stroller, an infant car seat and a car seat base! The infant car seat has a handle that allows it to be used as an infant carrier, the car seat base can be seat-belted into a vehicle, then the car seat / carrier snaps onto the base for travel, making it easier for the parent to move baby from car to destination all while strapped into the same carrier. The travel system is particularly handy for sleeping infants, since it eliminates the need to actually remove the sleeping baby from the car seat, you know what they say..NEVER wake a sleeping baby!

Added Accessories

Finding a pushchair that already comes with cosytoes and changing bag can really save you some pennies, rather than purchasing them separately! A lot of brands tend to give you a whole package for discounted price too which is perfect! Accessories include, blankets, cup holders, bottle bags, parasols, rain covers and shopping baskets! Granted, most brands come complete with those but if you want to customise your own, you can choose different patterns and colours to suit!
All-terrain tyres
I know, it's not like you're going to give your baby a crash course on off-roading, but it's always reassuring to know you can cross across that field or push them across the beach without getting stuck and stranded! Finding a pushchair that can tackle everything from concrete to sand and mud to pebbles, will probably be your best bet! Usually prams with bigger wheels at the back and smaller ones at the front are perfect for that, as long as you keep the tyres pumped up, you'll be fine!

Easy to fold

You want something that you can fold up in seconds and throw in the back of the car quickly and easily, no faffing around for 15 minutes taking apart certain parts for a 10 minute trip up the road, only to then have to re-attach everything again! I'd recommend having 2, even 3 pushchairs, that doesn't mean you need to spend a fortune though, Argos always have good deals on, you can get yourself a perfectly practical pushchair for £20, perfect for keeping in the car and also giving to the grandparents for when they look after the little one!

What makes a good double pushchair?

If you are planning another baby or have two close in age who both still need a pushchair, there are so many designs of double buggies out there, I'd definitely recommend doing your research to find which ones are more suitable for you! Even visit your local baby stores for one to one advice and to actually test run certain pushchairs, what works for one person might not work for you! Think about how much room you need, do you want a side by side pram or one on top of the other? Do you want a large shopping basket or are you ok with little space? Making sure there is enough room for your changing bag as well as all your own bits too! Finding one that ticks all your boxes is actually easier than you think :)
