Valentine's Day
The last few months of 2013 found me working as fast as I could to finish State of Rebellion in order to make the January 24th, 2014 release date. In the end, the book was ready ahead of schedule and everything went perfectly. I'm so blessed! To celebrate the completion of the third installment and its successful release, I had a night (or afternoon, if I'm going to be technical about it) on the big city of Fresno, California. It's nice to take a day and enjoy months and months of hard work from a distance, if you know what I mean.Rock climbing in February.
February 2014 was busy, busy, busy! After the release of State of Rebellion, I immediately began working on the fourth installment in the series. I'm also a journalist and creative writing teacher, so I spend a lot of time researching articles and putting together fun lesson plans for my writing students! I had a sweet Valentine's Day with my favorite person in the world, and by the time the month was over I had more than half of the work on the fourth installment completed. (I'm talking about the first draft, people!) I visited a cat haven, went rock climbing and watched Tremors for the first time. Apparently I've been missing out on classic Kevin Bacon for most of my life. In addition, I attended the local community awards dinner in my hometown and got to taste some epic cake in the process.Epic cake.
So here we are in March. I can't believe how fast the year is already going by. When you're busy, time seems to move faster. My fourth book is more than halfway written, and I'm counting on a Spring/Summer 2014 release for it. Until then, it's back to work. Life is busy - but from my perspective, living busy and productive is the only way to do it!I'm hard at work on several projects, in addition to being the happy owner of WB Publishing, which I also launched in January of 2014. I'll take some time in a couple of more months to write another update post. Meanwhile, it's back to work! Thanks for stopping by!
