After taking a break last month for 31 Days of Oscar, Friday Night Spotlight returns with a series about Food in the Movies selected by Anthony Bourdain.
March’s Star of the Month will be the one and only Mary Astor. A 24 hour marathon of her films will start very Wednesday night this month and continue into the following Thursday
March 1: 31 Days of Oscar continues with a Best Picture marathon of Grand Hotel at 7:30 AM, Gigi at 9:45 AM, On the Waterfront at 12:00 PM. In prime time, the focus is on the 1967 Best Picture category with In the Heat of the Night at 8:00 PM, The Graduate at 10:00 PM, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner at 12:00 AM, Bonnie and Clyde at 2:00 AM, and Doctor Dolittle at 4:00 AM.
March 2: It’s a night of 1935 Best Picture nominees with Mutiny on the Bounty at 8:00 PM, Captain Blood at 10:30 PM, Ruggles of Red Gap at 12:45 AM, Top Hat at 2:30 AM, and David Copperfield at 4:30 AM.
March 3: 31 Days of Oscar 2014 draws to a close today with the rest of those 1935 Best Picture nominees. The Informer at 6:45 AM, Broadway Melody of 1936 at 8:30 AM, Naughty Marietta at 10:15 AM, Les Miserables at 12:00 PM, Alice Adams at 2:00 PM, A Midsummer Night’s Dream 3:45 PM, and The Lives of a Bengal Lancer at 6:00 PM.
