What’s In My Handbag?

When I told my boyfriend that I was writing this post he looked at me like I was insane! He said, “Why would anyone want to know what crap you have in your handbag?” Oh how he underestimates the curiosity and downright nosiness of the female species! Personally I love to see what other girls cart about with them everyday!
So here it goes, this is what’s in my work handbag.....

I always use this See By Chloe bag for work. I bought it in the winter sale at Net-A-Porter (half price, bargain!) It's a great size. Big enough for all my junk but not so big that I have to listen to those oh so hilarious "is that a handbag or a suitcase" jokes! I don't think herringbone will ever go out of style as it's so classic, so I see myself using this bag for years to come. It also works with most of my winter and summer clothes and is super sturdy. I really do think it's worth spending a little bit more money on your everyday work/uni/whatever bag as cheaper bags tend to fall apart too easily and can end up being a false economy.

Cath Kidston Purse

I always carry at least one bottle of water in my handbag. It’s annoying having the weight of it in my bag but it helps to get my 2.5 litres a day! 
My purse is from Cath Kidston and my boyfriends Mum bought me it for Christmas. I love the pattern and it's coated in plastic which keeps the fabric underneath nice and clean. there's plenty of space for all my bank cards, loyalty cards, drivers license, train tickets etc. Very occasionally I even have some money in it....very occasionally! I like to carry chewing gum as my work requires me to have meetings with clients so I always want to make sure I don't smell like the cheese and onion baguette I just snaffled at lunch! I couldn't live without my filofax and I mostly use it for social or personal appointments. Any work appointments I put in my Outlook calender. I carry a book everywhere and for some reason I tend to pick tombstone sized novels! Currently it's Anna Karenina by Tolstoy and I'm loving it! I know a Kindle would be so much more practical but I will never give up on actual books. They just have so much more soul and I like to look at them all lined up on our bookshelves in our flat.

I like to carry a little make up bag to work with me but I don’t actually have that much in it. This one was part of a freebie from No7 at boots and came with little sample size No7 make-up products in it. So that's it folks, my work handbag!Lisa x
