Since having Imogen I’ve discovered I really enjoy shopping for more unique and original things for her to wear. Browsing on Etsy and Instagram and discovering new small businesses has become my new favorite pastime – well you need something to do at feeding time!!
One of these I’ve found is Freddie Fox and Co. Run by Clare Young, a teaching assistant at a village primary school in East Yorkshire, who’s currently on maternity leave, Freddie Fox and Co make homemade Bandana Bibs, Infinity Scarves, Teethers and Top Knots. She says that being a teaching assistant she is always making things and being crafty – especially when having to come up with classroom displays & making props for school plays! She thought maternity leave was the perfect opportunity to start up her business and I couldn’t agree more!
I was immediately attracted to the bright and unusual fabrics she uses – currently in her etsy shop are items with hedgehog and pheasant patterns!
Imogen is loving her new Bandaba bib in ‘Sweet Escape’ and I love how vibrant the fabric is. Complete with matching top knot!
I know baby head wear is a love it or hate it thing for most mothers- I’m firmly in the love it camp!
You can never underestimate the amount of bibs you will need for your baby- and for me, the more unique and different the better so I’ll definitely be snapping up some more from Freddie Fox and Co! I loved that they were made with great quality material, and the backs are super soft so they won’t irritate babies skin at all.
Why don’t you pop over to Facebook or Instagram and follow them or have browse on Etsy at the range!
