I wore this dress last Thursday to work and my mom came into DC to have lunch with me. We sat outside at a cafe enjoying the gorgeous weather… and the bees were surely enjoying this dress! It’s like every insect in the Nation’s Capital was drawn to my marigold-hued frock. Even with such buzzing attention, I’m still a big fan of this dress. It has great drape, an exposed gold zipper in back, and the fabric resists wrinkles; I was crease-free after a while day plunked down at my desk! I think this dress will transition nicely into the colder months, looking great with black tights or worn under a blazer or cardigan.
I loved pairing it with this bright blue tote from Dagne Dover; I’ve been using the heck out of this brilliantly-designed bag. This is the perfect work bag; it’s big enough to hold your laptop and anything else you could use for your work day. I can tuck in there my reusable water bottle, a pair of commuting shoes, my lunch and still have space for my purse essentials. No matter what is in it, the bag never tips over and there’s a place for everything (including a cord for my keys!). The straps are the perfect length to feel good in the hand, in the crook of the elbow, or over your shoulder. I carried this bag at the BlogHer conference and people stopped to ask me where I got it; the other week I had a few coworkers in my office oohing and aahing over it. I’ve become a big fan of this company, impressed with the quality and intelligence behind the bags as well as the great people of Dagne Dover and their amazing customer service.
