I cannot tell you how long I've been looking for a petite leather Moto jacket. They're too snug and won't close over my chest, they don't come larger than a size 10, they're stiff and boxy, they're too snug in the arms, they cost a kazillion dollars, they're covered with all sorts of embellishment and doohickies. Every year I search stores and shop online and end up empty handed (except for all the mail order returns I'm carrying to the post office!). This year, I finally had success!
I bought this jacket from Topshop at the end of the summer and now that fall is finally here I've been weairng it like crazy. It's not super soft and subtle, but enough that it's molding to my body nicely and is comfortable even over a thicker sweater. The only issue I have is the dumb chain at the tag near the collar, I held the jacket from that to put it on a hanger and it broke. But otherwise, the quality is excellent.
This dress you may recognize from my last Trunk Club review. I let my stylist know it was just too big and she exchanged it for a petite version. I love how it's not the typical matte jersey wrap dress with the fitted arms; the tie at the waist is also long enough that you can customize the look. I wore this outfit to lunch with my two friends Elizabeth and Sylvia, and after went window shopping in Georgetown. I walked past Take Care, a clean beauty store and decided to go in. Many have mentioned the shop in My Beauty Routine Series, but I had never visited. It's beautiful, but not in that intimidating/pretentious way. The woman working there was so nice and helpful yet gave me freedom to explore on my own. I bought this lipstick as well as this highlighter (I chose the color Afternoon Delight). When I got home, I put on the lipstick and Karl and I went down the road to take a few pictures of the look; I liked how the ruby red lips looked with the outfit!
