What I Got For Christmas

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
I've seen a few posts like this already and enjoyed having a look at what other people received this Christmas. On that basis I thought you might like to see some of the gits I received.
By no means at all am I showing off, I'm incredibly grateful for everything I've been given and just wanted to share with you some of the items you'll probably see featured here on Hello Freckles in the new year. I won't link to where you can buy anything, unless it's something I picked out myself, as I don't want to be looking up the prices of products I've received as gifts.
I didn't really ask for anything this year, I struggled to think of things I really wanted so the majority of my presents are beauty related (or Rose Jam orientated) with a few surprises thrown in and a lot of chocolate. I've had to hide a tub of Roses away from me as I type this or I'd be surrounded by sweet wrappers. I also required tech support at one point since my laptop charger stopped working thanks Dad for fixing it!
I remember looking at the lensbaby lenses a while ago so I'm really pleased I've now got one. It's a really cool idea and it'll definitely be getting used for blog photos as well as pushing me to go out and take photos of other things too.
My boyfriend surprised me with a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8, which I really didn't expect at all. I suppose I had hinted a lot that I'd like one but it was still a big surprise. It's so easy to use and he got me enough film to take 60 photos so I should be set for a while! This photo was a quick test on Christmas Day.I really like it and I'm hoping I can incorporate them into a little album or maybe do a scrapbook like the one Lily Pebbles has done this year. I sense a trip to hobbycraft in the near future!
It'll be no surprise that I received one of the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettes. I've been looking at them for so long and gave my Aunt a couple of options so it would still be a surprise. She bought me The Sophisticate and I'm very excited to use it. From my parents I received Benefit's World Famous Neutrals - Glamorous Nudes which is full of my everyday kinda shades. I wasn't expecting to get it so that again was a lovely surprise, along with the Clarins All About Lips gift set. My Mam knows how much I like trying new make up brushes and I'd considered picking up the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for a while. Good thing I didn't and I'll be sure to report back how it compares to my Sephora Pro Airbrush brush I use for foundation.
Lady Million is one of my signature scents and I think this must be my fourth bottle now. I've never used up a perfume so much and kept going back to it. Narciso smells amazing, I had 'For Her' in the black bottle a few Christmases ago, so when I spotted this new offering I quickly sent some hints to my Aunt.
I knew I was getting The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil set and NARS Laser Cut Palette from Andy but I did have to wait until Christmas to get them! The Holiday 2014 collection from NARS has been outstanding. You'll know how much I love the Digital World Lip Coffret (review here) and I bought my sister the Roman Holiday gift triangle not its proper name, but you know which I mean) and she seemed really pleased with it.
It's no secret I'm a big fan of the Rose Jam from Lush and I've actually got two more big bottles of it which I picked up in the Boxing Day sale. I'm stocking up, nothing wrong with that...right? I've got a selection of smellies here, the pink from my family and green ones plus the medium bottle from Andy's family. I also got these lovely earrings from Andy's family and this bracelet from my parents.
My Great Aunt and Uncle wanted to get me something this Christmas rather than giving me money. I suggested a Pandora rings as ideas and she picked out this one. It's really pretty and it's the thought behind it that means the most.
My sister bought me some lovely underwear from Victoria's Secret which she sneakily got on her recent trip to London as well as some other gifts. These Lindt chocolates were meant to be the coconut ones, but when she was wrapping them on Christmas Eve she realised they're actually cookies and cream. It turns out the coconut ones were in a teal blue box rather than baby blue! The Marc De Champagne truffles will go really well with the bottle of Prosecco from Andy's family!
The pug in a mug tea infuser is actually from my secret santa at work. They also got me a little Rose Jam shower gel from Lush, thanks whoever you are! I have a few ideas who it could've been!
I spotted the snackboxes a while ago in Urban Outfitters and thought they'd be great for work. I don't use a lunch box at the moment so sometimes my sandwiches can look a bit of a funny shape when I go to put them in the fridge. I'm looking forward to using these to take little snacks with me, the smaller pots will be great for dried fruit, olives and little bits to nibble on during the day.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas, what did you receive?
