What Have You Been Watching? #13

Every Monday we can talk about what we watched over the weekend. I’d enjoy hearing what new movies, games, or televisions shows were seen over the weekend. This is what I’ve been watching this weekend.

What Have You Been Watching?

October 1st 2012 Edition

Hello again. Last week was filled with entertainment and gatherings. Not only did I watch a total of five films over the course of the week, I also had some good luck at a networking meeting. Let’s hope it turns into something. I’ve recently had new photos done for my headshots for Facebook, LinkedIn, and the webpage on the about page. I hope they have a more professional flair and showcase my new looks after a year of dieting and a loss of 25 lbs.

On to the Entertainment!

Movies:

Looper – Review Coming Soon.

Bachelorette - Haven’t decided yet if I’m going to review this. If nothing else I enjoyed it, but one of the characters almost ruined the movie for me.

Roman Holiday (Rewatch) – I watched this two years ago thought it was charming. Well that opinion hasn’t changed much on this rewatch. I guess there are some things that still bother me about the agenda of Gregory Peck’s character, but I’m glad with the outcome. Even if it ends realistically.

Metropolitan – Part of the Criterion line, Metropolitan was the first film by Whit Stillman. It’s about wealthy college aged kids acting like aristocrats. It reminded me a lot of films like Rushmore and Manhattan. While it is by no means a fantastic film, it was a good watch and I found it interesting enough.

Mardock Scramble: The 2nd Combustion – 2nd film in the trilogy based on the Mardock Scramble novel. While it contains the same high level of violence from its predecessor, it mixes in some intriguing background on the characters. I enjoyed it for what it is, but if I recommend the series I’d say wait for the third film and watch them together in one sitting.

Video Games:

Borderlands 2 (week 2) – Still playing. I’ve gotten my character up to around level 22 and I’m finally seeing some interesting guns. There’s plenty to do and I’m sure I have a lot more hours left with the game, whether it be co-op or finishing all the sidequests.

TV:

Downton Abbey – There has been little movement in Bates case. Maybe Julian was listening. I knew the events of this episode seemed odd. I’m not sure if this was a homerun either, but that could just be because it’s a downer episode.

Now it’s your turn! What did you watch this weekend?
