I have to admit, I am much too old to be shopping in the junior’s department. But, the beauty of shopping thrift stores is that all bets are off – men’s, kids, juniors – it’s all fair game. If you know you’re going to be able to take it home and make it work, then you have to grab that one-of-a-kind find while you can. So, while I probably wouldn’t have gotten these junior-sized skinny jeans at a regular store, I had no qualms about snatching them up at the Goodwill. Due to the varying sizes between brands and decades, you can’t count on the size on the label to mean anything anyway. So, if you’re not able to try it on, but it’s what you’re looking for, and it appears to be the right size, go for it. If you love it, you’ll put in the effort to get any necessary tailoring done, so you won’t end up with something just taking up space in your closet. Fortunately, these gray skinnies had just the right amount of stretch to allow me to get into them and still feel comfortable.
Have you scored any cool thrift store finds that weren’t from your usual department?
