What Do Food, Craft Beer, and a Honda Dealer Have in Common?

Advertising and public relations is a funny business. Sometimes their work is incredibly obvious (like when you get an invite to the launch of whatever product they are working to promote). Other times, their work is not so obvious. Below is a for instance of their not so obvious work...

You would think that the above infographic came from an advertising or public relations firm that is working with a local brewery or brewpub to promote how their many beer offerings can be paired with a variety of different foods. You COULD think that, but in this case, you'd be wrong. The above infographic came from an advertising firm called Stream Companies, and it's being circulated throughout the blogosphere to help promote Ray Price Honda of East Stroudsburg, PA. So what does buying a brand new (or lightly used) Honda have to do with food/craft beer pairings? I have no idea!

From a personal perspective, food, craft beer, and Honda are three of my favorite things (Mrs. G-LO and I have a 2005 Accord and a 2009 Odyssey), but putting them together for a blog post is a bit of an odd pairing. Pairing food with craft beer is a great idea, but throwing a car into the mix is a horrible one (unless of course you have a designated driver! THAT'S a very good idea). If I were really reaching to find a correlation, I could argue that as a suburb dweller, driving a Honda will make getting to my favorite bar/restaurant or grocery store/craft beer shop much easier. That works for me. I definitely enjoy food/craft beer hunting in my Honda Accord!

Now that we have all of that out of the way, let's end this post with one of our favorite questions...

What's your favorite food/craft beer pairing? Let us know in the comments below. Cheers!
