**In the very first post of MN Blog I said that you could expect to read anything and everything on here. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…
Last night Joe and I went walking through the Summit Hill neighborhood in Saint Paul with Stella who had a lot of energy to burn. It’s nice to get our of our own neighborhood to explore and look at other houses every once in a while. Plus, the houses over there are awesome – old, huge and full of character. They just don’t make houses like they used to. Sigh. If you’re feeling adventurous you can go on the Summit Hill Neighborhood Walking tour. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and you can go at your own pace! Anyway, I’m not sure what prompted Joe to look it up when we got home (maybe it was the park we crossed that happened to be in the middle of a turnabout) but he googled “smallest parks in the US” and came across something VERY close to home.
Did you know West Saint Paul is home to the smallest dedicated park in the US of A?! Well, I take that back. It is technically now the second (Portland holds the smallest) but it may still be considered the smallest with it’s own monument. You can read the article Joe found here. The funny thing about the park is that we have driven by it so many times because it’s not far from our house!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, Albert Park. Oh yea, look at that beaut!
