SATE hits Hamilton

SATE, the fifty first state. Where the status quo, inhibitions, and rules do not apply. Everyone should spend time with SATE, to reenergize their world.

I have seen SATE twice now. Since the first time a few months ago, I have been looking forward to another experience. That chance came in Hamilton, the night after a Canadian Music Week performance. My better half joined me, she was completely taken with her the first time around as well. She referred to SATE as her spirit animal. Not only is the music outstanding (accurately described as bluesy raunch and soul meets dirty rock and roll) but the entire performance is energetic and untethered.

This show was leading into a little tour out east to Kingston and Montreal. Then stateside into New York city, Philadelphia, and Cleveland. If SATE isn't careful, she might get stuck touring forever because I don't see how people will ever get enough. But, there is no shortage of energy to propel an infinite tour schedule.

It's hard not to get all amped up when in a room with the band playing songs like Warrior, Know My Name, and What Did I Do. They'll get you goin'. Heavy riffs with soul and grit. It's fantastic.

RedBlack&Blue is SATE's debut album which will be released June 10th worldwide. I expect June 11th is when many people will need to go buy some new speakers. Whenever SATE arrives in your area, make sure you check her out. She is therapy for the soul.
