Four Minute Hotel Review

…of the Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Midi Hotel. (If not go watch it before you carry on reading) This was my second time staying in a Park Inn Hotel and I enjoyed my stay even more this time. We were so well looked after, our rooms were massive and we were even given a tour around the hotel.

Park Inn hotels cater for business people or travellers on a city break who need to be close to transport links to make the most out of their weekend. This Park Inn is perfectly located next to the main station in Brussels which is where the Eurostar arrives and departs from. This meant no lugging around bags all day, as we quickly dropped them off before heading in to the city on day one and left them there until the evening on day two.

Just like Amsterdam the reception/lobby area makes a great impression on any first time visitors, the style differed but the inviting and friendly atmosphere was still there. This floor was also home to the bar and grill area, three conference rooms, meet-in boxes and a function space. They have made the absolute most of all the given space without making it feel too crowded.

My room was located on the 5th floor facing east. As you can see from the video, my room was spacious with skylights. In room facilities included a TV, desk, safe, sofa, shower and bath combo, free wi-fi, phone and coffee/tea facilities. I later found out the room I had been given was one of two of their largest rooms in the hotel, although after sampling some of the other business type rooms they were also of a decent size. Each room at the Brussels Park Inn was decorated with a swirly art deco pattern which was mirrored on the floor and ceiling, incredibly every room had a different pattern.

I took full advantage of the bar and grill for dinner that evening and decided to go for a beef burger with cheese. As predicted from my previous Park Inn experience the food was delicious although very filling, the menu had a good all round choice and service was excellent. The following morning I enjoyed breakfast in the same place, due to staying in a business type room breakfast was included in my stay. The breakfast was a buffet style and had everything you could hope for and more, I don’t think I even managed to try half of what was on offer.

Park Inn by Radisson are a chain of affordable hotels always located near to transport links and have hotels worldwide. Unlike some other popular affordable chain hotels which always feel the same, these hotels have character and style. They have a similar color theme (white with injections of primary colours), room style and furniture however each hotel seems to have its own personal touch too. You feel like you are staying at more than just an affordable hotel with all the little touches and slick service. The rooms are affordable and I would certainly look at staying with them again.

Essential Information:

To book a room at Park Inn by Radisson Brussels Midi now for mid January prices range from €72 (about £58) for a standard room with no breakfast and up to €119 (about £95) for a business type room with breakfast. There are also some other packages available at prices in the middle. The Grand Place is a mere 1.8km away which is certainly walkable or a quick five minute metro ride. The train station as I mentioned is across the road from the hotel or if you need to get to the airport it is a 20 minute train ride away.

Disclaimer: I was provided with a free nights stay here as part of the #parkinnexpress trip I have been doing. I was not asked to specifically write a hotel review/film a review, and all opinions and love for Park Inn are my own. I wouldn’t recommend something I wouldn’t personally use myself.
