Weird December Holidays for Foodies

By Take A Bite Out Of Boca @shaywiz
There seems to be a holiday for everything. Take today, for example. National Cotton Candy Day. Naturally this means everyone should find the nearest carnival and pig out on this sugary treat. Or you could go for a more nontraditional route and find cotton candy flavored things to nosh on such as ice cream or lollipops, or even alcohol. December is a huge month for food, whether it be cooking or baking, attending cocktail parties, or going out to eat. The holidays just scream gluttony. It's only fitting that there be a myriad of food-related holidays throughout the entire month. They may be frivolous and have no real importance, but there is no harm in being silly every once in a while. So don't be afraid to celebrate some of these bizarre December holidays in between all the others.
We missed a few great ones already...December 1 was National Pie Day and National Eat a Red Apple Day. December 2 was National Fritters Day. Yesterday was National Gazpacho Day, and today, as already mentioned, is National Cotton Candy Day.
Here are a few more foodie holidays to look forward to this month.
