Weekly Photo Challenge: My 2012 in Pictures

By Ronniejt28 @hurtledto60

What a fabulous Photo Challenge this week – “My 2012 in Pictures”.  A multi-photo challenge.   It has also introduced me to tiled galleries.  It has certainly not been the easiest task to select one photo from each month to depict my year in 2012, but I think I have chosen the best.  Obviously, there are lots of wonderful memories of times with my family and grandchildren, but I am loathe to show photos of them on my blog as they are very personal.

Enjoy looking back on 2012 with me, click on any picture to get a full screen view.

The 2nd January 2012 was a day with fabulous weather which gave me a positive start to 2012February, I bought a set of close up lenses and started my love of macro photographyMarch: Following redundancy, I and my Orchid started a new job. Life goes on. April: I visited Dunsborough Park Gardens and their magnificent tulips. May: A wonderful weekend at Tylney Hall Hotel. Relaxing spa treatments and walks in the beautiful groundsJune: I had a brilliant Jubilee Party in France with my Cousin and her friends. Bringing a bit of England to France.July: the rains came and didn’t stop. Parham House held their Plant Sale and the rain certainly kept everything fresh! Heuchera were looking resplendent. August: Making friends through Twitter. I paid a visit to Pollies Day Lillies in the New Forest.

September: better late than never – the courgettes that I thought would never appear suddenly became prolific.

October: my youngest daughter, her two cousins and the husband of another cousin ran in the Great South Run in aid of Encephalitis supported on a very cold day by a heartwarming gathering of the family.

November: a much needed walk along my local shoreline. It’s all too easy to forget its there and take it for granted.
