In my quest to improve my life, business and self I come across so many wonderful sites ~ some are bookish, some life-changing, and some just down-right hilarious. I hope you’ll enjoy this new feature of The Novel Life and share some of your own personal favorites from the week. Enjoy!

Thug Kitchen ~ have you been to those “themed” restaurants or bars where the staff yell at you? In the right mindset it can be a ton of fun! Thug Kitchen goes a step further. His writing is snarky but hilarious; the food pictures are tantalizingly mouth-watering; and he really knows his stuff {healthy eating!}

Gussy Sews ~ reminds me that skills can (and should) be learned, at any age. That just because I’m *insert age here* does not mean I am done learning or experiencing or even thriving! But oh, how I do wish I were 28 again!

Hay House World Summit ~ a free online event June 1 – 10. Only 2 days left of the Summit. It has been a wildly informative and invigorating life-changing conference. Gabrielle Bernstein shares that “whether you’re embracing your health, deepening your spirituality, nurturing your relationships, or exploring the world of possibility. . .” there’s something for everyone. Speakers include Suze Orman, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Louise L. Hay and one of my all-time personal favorites Jack Canfield along with a hundred others!

Lisa Bu: How Books Can Open Your Mind ~ Inspiring, heart-felt talk on books and how they changed Lisa Bu’s life. We all have dreams that for whatever reason did not come true. Lisa shows how books led her to new dreams and ideas. If you haven’t discovered Ted Talks yet, then by all means join in! The tag line for Ted Talks is “Riveting Talks by remarkable people, free to the world.” I’ve become addicted to the site ~ there’s so much for everyone and time enough to listen to the short 6 – 20 minute speeches. Inspiring, breathtaking, real.
