Friday night we headed over to Mom and Paul's house to hang out. The guys were busy making sticks and jerky in the shop. Us girls headed to a nearby park for a little bit of playtime and a walk around the park. Avrie had a great time meeting some new friends; Logan and Ella. They loved going down the slide just as much as she did. We are still working leaving the park without having to deal with the meltdown.
Saturday morning we were up bright and early. Aaron made breakfast- prize winning french toast! After breakfast I made my morning list and sent Aaron and AVs outside. While they played out in the sunshine and picked up sticks around the yard. I cleaned the kitchen, mopped the floors, wrapped Teddy's birthday gifts, showered and got ready for the day. I stayed on task and was done with everything by noon, right on time!
We hit the road headed for St Cloud around 12:30pm, after a couple of pit stops, we ended up at the Ruley's around 3:15pm. Avrie was able to get a car nap in, so she was ready to party!
Teddy and all of his cousins were busy outside playing on the swing set. The wind had started to pick up the more north we headed, so the party was indoors.
Teddy's 2nd birthday party was everything a kid would want; food, presents, friends to run around a play with ALL DAY, cake and frosting!
We all had fun being silly with play mustaches- the kids were SO cute wearing them!

After a busy & fun day & after Teddy headed for bed- we gathered all of our things and said our goodbyes. We were headed back for home around 9pm and when we got home around 10:15pm Avrie was sleep walking as we put her into her jammies. She slept like a ROCK this night!
I hated leaving Ben & Lana's knowing that I REALLY need to get together with my best friend a little more often than once every six months! The last time Lana and I hung out was HALLOWEEN!!!! Not cool... Lucky for us though, the month of May brings us weekends at the lake in which Lana will be along for- YAH!
We woke up to Sunday being another beautiful day outside. W spent almost ZERO time indoors.
After a quick breakfast we found a bunch of things to do out in the sunshine. Aaron set up his smoker for jerky, YUM! My main goal was to get my car cleaned out. It was full of SO MUCH winter ISH! Avrie and I set up shop in the driveway and while she played with all of her "car toys" I left nothing untouched inside of my car. Truly, I was HOPING to find our spare missing key fob, but no such luck!
Later in the afternoon Kevin & Freid came over. The WILD were playing game #2 against the Blackhawks so Freid was glued to the TV. Kevin brought over supplies to make a set of bean bags- so he and Aaron worked on getting those put together. In between of all that Avrie kept busying playing on her swingset, with the water hose, in her play house, kicking the soccer ball and making Kevin & Freid chase her around the yard.
After everyone was done with their "chores" we all relaxed on the deck and fired up the charcoal grill. We enjoyed an awesome grilled dinner on the deck. Soon after the guys headed home, it was bath and bedtime for little AV. We decided earlier in the day that she could skip her morning nap and would just head to bed early. I went in to put her down for the night and when she asked me to lay down with her, I couldn't turn her down. I was BEAT and I ended up falling asleep in her room for over an hour! Cheers to a great first weekend in May!
