Friday was spent in surgery. It was a long day, and I was really uncomfortable. But I know it'll be worth it! Adam, my Mom, and Toy (Grandma) went with me and we ended up getting a hotel and staying the night since it was like 2.5 hours from home (Mom ended up going back home). I went in the next morning so the doctor could check me out and he said everything looked great! I go back in a week to have my stitches taken out...I can't wait!
This was my first time having anything done where I had to be put under. Apparently after surgery, I danced with my anesthesiologist...good times? I don't remember much...just that I slept a lot.
I got home Saturday around 1:30 in the afternoon and passed out again. Adam has been taking the best care of me. Cooking, cleaning, and making sure that I'm taking my meds at the right times. I honestly don't know what I would do without him! He even brought my mattress into my living room so that I can watch my big TV while I'm recouping.
For dinner Saturday night, he made me some healthy nachos...DELICIOUS! Instead of chips we took a whole wheat flatout and cut it into triangles and cooked them in a frying pan with olive oil. It was also a man approved meal ;) Just saying...
Sunday he made me a delicious breakfast and then we lounged around and looked for houses online. Adam is moving at the end of this month and he wants to rent a house. We found a super cute one on the river...so send good vibes to him! He's calling the realtor this morning and we're hoping for good news.
Since it was Father's Day and my Granddad's birthday, he drove me around to see all my family and deliver their gifts. Annnnd he even painted my toenails with my new Essie polish "Sunday Funday." I'd say he's a keeper, yeah?
So the surgery was a success...I'm still sore and can't wait to be fully recouped but I am getting a ton of rest and following the doctor's orders. I appreciate all of the prayers & well wishes...y'all are the BEST! I bought a few books on my Kindle to read this week:
