I just finished the Nutrisystem Fast Five part of my Nutrisystem program, and I'm ready to reveal the results! 

But first...

Let's talk about the Fast Five. The Fast Five part of the Nutrisystem program, which lasts a whole week, is designed to jumpstart your weight loss. Nutrisystem says that you could lose up to 5 lbs by following the Fast Five.

Here's what one of my days on the Fast Five looked like: 


  • Breakfast: Banana Nut Muffin
  • Morning Snack: Chocolate EnergiZING Shake and cucumber slices
  • Lunch: Cheese Tortellini and cooked broccoli
  • Afternoon snack: Chocolate Craving Crusher Shake
  • Dinner: Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza and green beans
  • Nighttime snack: Sugar snap peas with fat free ranch dressing

A Nutrisystem Lunch


While it's recommended that you have a veggie with your afternoon snack, I opted to have it as a nighttime snack since we eat dinner around 4:30-5 pm most nights. Learn more about the Fast Five and My Way Program in Nutrisystem's announcement here. 
The foods are filling, despite their small size (which, now that I type that, you can see where I had issues with portion control!). 

I stuck to the foods, except that I added in two low-fat mozzarella cheese sticks on two different occasions when I was feeling low (as in low blood sugar low, even though I'm not a diabetic). They were only around 80 calories, so I didn't think they'd make much of a difference. My favorites? They were all yummy, but I loved the loaded baked potato, the Craving Crusher shake, the cheese tortellini, the cinnamon streusel muffin, the double chocolate muffin, the chicken pot pie, and the lasagna. 
My dislikes? I received two meals that were spicy, which I don't typically go for. Also, while for the most part good, the EnergiZING shake has a slight aftertaste, but after having it a few times, I got used to it. 

Nutrisystem Results

The results are in! This week, I lost a total of....drumroll please!


Woot! I went from 226 lbs to 218 lbs in just one week with the Fast Five*! 


*Results not typical. This was accomplished with diet and exercise. Weight loss during the Fast Five depends on many factors. 

Today I start the My Way Selects 28-day program, so my weight loss should be a healthy 1-2 lbs per week, as Nutrisystem suggests. If I keep it up, I'll surpass my goal of losing 30 lbs while on Nutrisystem!
