{Wedding Wednesday: Shoe of Choice}
By Whimofthesouth
Your wedding day is fast approaching. You have your checklist and all of the major things are checked off. Except...how can it be? You haven't purchased your wedding shoes yet! Many women choose to purchase shoes based on the theme of their wedding. The wedding shoe is supposed to be a shoe that you wouldn't normally purchase (in most cases.) Women will usually purchase shoes that are a little more expensive because the day is supposed to be the most special of days and in a brand spankin' new pair of Manolo Blahnik's, women tend to feel pretty amazing strutting down the isle to their handsome beau. My choice of wedding shoes was a bit different thank a pair of Manalo's. My shoe of choice for October 11th was a gorgeous pair of Stella cowgirl boots. The buttery leather, with its intricate detailing, was the perfect choice for a wedding at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains (and yes my lovely bridesmaids are wearing cowgirl boots too.) The theme of the wedding, the location, color, and your comfort levels are all huge factors. Darling, please stay away from donning those six inch heels on your wedding day. The last thing you want is for your heel to get stuck in the tulle from your dress and cause you to fall on your trip down the isle. That might not make for the best wedding video. The comfort level alone is of the upmost importance. And I'm pretty sure you won't be dancing your heart out at the end of the night in those babies. A pair of jack rogers is another go to for brides. The shoe comes in it's signature style but can be purchased with white straps, gold, navy, or whichever color you prefer. Heck, you could even use them as your "something blue." Happy "shoe" shopping! Remember the four factors: comfort, theme, location, and color. If you're going to be married on a mountain slide, jacks might not be the best way to go (you don't want to slip if the rocky area is wet.) xoBCC
