{Wedding Wednesday: How I Asked The BIG Question}
By Whimofthesouth
After he asks you his BIG question, it's time for you to ask the most important women in your life the BIG question too! "Will you be my bridesmaid?" Apart from my wedding and how I would be proposed to, who would be in my wedding was always something I wondered and dreamed about. How would I ask the women who have been there, who's friendships mean the world to me, to take part in one of the biggest days of my life? What if they said no? I didn't want the ask to be too forward (even though the girls already knew it was coming.) And I didn't want to just ship off the question to them. To me, waiting to ask them in person was the most special way to go about it (even though I'm sure I was super awkward guys...) I actually still have one bridesmaid to officially "ask," but I'm pretty sure I know what her answer will be!To ask the lovely women who I like to call my best friends to be my bridesmaids (and one very special one to be my maid of honor,) I wanted to include something memorable that they wouldn't just toss aside. My choice for a small trinket to honor the position of bridesmaid and maid of honor was a silk rope sailor's knot bracelets with a small golden clasp. This was the cliche "thanks for helping my tie the knot," bit of asking them. The card I chose was the one I've wanted for however long (I honestly can't remember because I planned on having a gold foiled card like this one from the start.) It was from a little shop on Etsy and they did a wonderful job. 5 for my bridesmaids and 1 for my maid of honor.The women that I chose to be in the bridal party have made such an impact on my life. They have been there through thick and thin and have been there to laugh with, cry with, and just vent to when I needed it most. My bridesmaids are the people I can scream to music at the top of my lungs with and eat copious amount of food (definitely couldn't do that in front of anyone else,) and they are the ones who I can either go on an adventure with or have a serious girls night with a lot of Ryan Gosling or Channing Tatum. Thank you so much to the wonderful women who agreed to be standing there at the altar with me on October 11th. I love you all dearly! xoBCC
