Wedding Thank You Etiquette

Now that the wedding is over, the cake has been eaten, and the wedding day glow has dimmed you've got one more task to complete; you've got to get those thank you cards sent off. There's no ifs ands or buts and I know life can get really busy and after all that planning you just want a break from wedding stuff and live a little in your happy newlywed nest. But you must send those cards and they should probably be handwritten.

You should send a thank you note (not a fill-in-the-blank cards, no pre-printed cards, no phone calls, no emails and no generic post on your website) to anyone who gave you a gift, gave money, helped out on the big day, vendors, and the folks who hosted your shower or party.

On a positive note (pun intended) you now have another excuse to browse through beautiful stationary as you create your thank you cards.
