Wedding Save the Dates: 2013 Report

By Christyo8 @CTDESIGNSINC

Its been a ha-YUGE year for Save the Dates so far... Wanted to share some of the trends I'm seeing.
Landscapes and cityscapes are still pretty popular Couples like to show off their cities. Especially popular for guests inviting a lot of out of towners.
Save the Date postcards flying off the shelves I have found that couples shied away from the postcards because they were less formal. There was also a feeling that they shouldn't go out "naked" without envelopes. Would they be safe? Well, I don't know if there has been a movement to save on postage/bells and whistles now so that couples can splurge in the future, but the percentage of postcards we executed rose significantly this year.
Save the Date Magnets Layout Design Down I think the design for magnets that we usually do are down this season... Not sure if this points to a down trend with magnets popularity, but we usually do more.
Photo-Based Save the Dates Down This is perhaps a fluke because more and more couples are taking engagement photos so I know that these are still being utilized for the Save the Dates. We have been overwhelmed by cityscapes though. Maybe two photo based Save the Dates were done all season so far.
Save the Date Season is LONGER Hopefully, our marketing and advertising is paying dividends because Save the Date season, typically occurring between October and February has been stretched. We are still executing Save the Dates well into March. Yeah! We appreciate your business and do not take it for granted.
