Wedding Menu Card Wording

By Christyo8 @CTDESIGNSINC
Today, I thought I would demystify the wedding menu...  This might be the first time that I've discussed this particular wedding detail in depth.  Remember that there are a number of ways to handle this particular item and it can be elegant AND functional at the same time!
In wording the menu, there are headers that are typically used:
  • First
  • Entreé
  • Dessert
FirstWill include the salad or appetizer served.
Entreé Will include one or more entreé or main course options.  If offering more than one option, you should stack these options and use -or- so that it is clear to your guests. Note: For family style receptions, simply list that it is indeed family style and the offerings so that guests will be aware.
DessertIncludes dessert item, usually wedding cake or buffet of some sort.  It is recommended that you list the flavors and details of the dessert versus a more simple listing, i.e. "wedding cake", "candy buffet", or "dessert station".
