Wedding Guest

By Megan Lillie @meganjanelillie
On Saturday I went to my first wedding of 2013; It was the wedding of my boyfriend's brother and his lovely fiancee. My boyfriend was the best man and I was so proud when he gave his speech at the night-do as he was so nervous about it, nevertheless he made everyone laugh by accidentally saying 'spanks' instead of thanks... Anyway, the sun came out and we all had such an amazing day. After the ceremony, we headed off to the local Rowing Club for a mega-lush buffet and a dance. All in all, the celebrations were fabulous and I was so happy to be a part of their special day! I thought I'd share with you my outfit for the special occasion...

Dress - Topshop // Shoes - eBay // Bracelet - Dior // Bag - Primark // Lipstick - Impassioned by MAC

This is probably one of the most beautiful dresses that I have ever bought. As soon as I seen the blue version of this I fell in love with the cut and print and knew I had to get it specifically for this wedding. It sold out online and I couldn't find it in my size anywhere, until I was in an Outfit store and seen this gem on the 'Last Chance to Buy' rail. With it being the only one, a different color and in my size I just knew it was meant to be. It's one of those dresses that make you feel like a princess all day long.
On the morning of the wedding I went to get my hair done by the very talented Amy of All Dolled Up; even though she's based in my area you need to check out her page. She's amazing at what she does and could not have given me a better up-do, it's just so me and I loved it! For my eye-makeup I lightly applied MAC's 'Woodwinked' over the lid and added Urban Decay's 'Tease' and 'Snakebite' in the outer corner and crease for definition. I then added MAC's 'Impassioned' to my lips to brighten the look, I think it worked well due to the summery weather that we were blessed with!
I really hope you like this whole outfit as much as I loved wearing it. Sometimes I think it's great to treat yourself to pieces that make you feel good about yourself and to get all dressed up. Would this be something you'd wear to a wedding? Let me know, thanks for reading! Remember to enter my latest giveaway here!
