Earlier this week we posted the London Walks Christmas Podcast. In case you missed it, here it is…

As you can hear, we are in Cecil Court the eccentric and thoroughly delightful cut-through street between St Martin's Lane and Charing Cross Road.
In the podcast I mention that I have TWO favourite shops in Cecil Court. The one we discuss is Marchpane (I also blogged about it HERE in our London Christmas Shopping series), the wonderful children's bookshop.
My other fave is David Drummond Pleasures of Past Times, pop culture and showbiz book & memorabilia shop. Here's their Xmas window display…

A Star-Studded Cast

And here's an illustration of why I love it…

Iggy Popp, Che Guevara, Germaine Greer, Harry Lauder, The Who and Charlie Chaplin on display. What a bill!
Comic Cuts
The shop is also featured in issue one of the Rock'n'Roll London Comic Book (a comic book & self-guided tour of Pink Floyd's London) as a perfect place to buy books on music…

(You can download a FREE 6-page sample of the Rock'n'Roll London Comic Book HERE.)

Past Times & New Futures It's all about the pace, in Cecil Court. Until very recently Pleasures of Times Past still closed for lunch (nostalgic sigh)!

And earlier this year Intoxica record shop, late of the parish of Notting Hill, re-opened in the back room…

…making David Drummond's Pleasures of Past Times your one stop pop culture shop in Cecil Court.
