We Gotta Game Sports Fans

By Mattie @comfyconfident

I am fighting off a wicked cough and feel it is better to avoid running outside in the cold, until it is gone. So, this morning I rode the stationary bike for 60 min. It felt good to sweat after a long weekend full of family, food and watching sports.

It started on Friday night and it was a family affair! My cousin had a hockey game up at UNH and my bro lives in that area, so naturally, it made sense for my all of us to go and watch. I think my family made up about half the fans! We definitely made up half the 50/50 raffle! My bro, grandfather, uncle and Vinnie all bought tickets… AND Vinnie ended up winning! It was hilarious when they announced his name. Vinnie was siked, and we were shocked. He won $42.50…. big WIN!

Saturday Vinnie and I ventured further north to watch his younger sister play her last high school soccer game.

It was a beautiful day to watch soccer. It was really fun to watch Kelly play soccer. We were able to squeeze in a quick 40 minute jog as well which was much needed. I have had a cough for about 2 weeks and it doesn’t seem to want to go away. It’s getting pretty frustrating and I am starting to get worn down so I have eased up on my running for a bit until I get healthy again. I don’t need to be fighting illness right now.

Saturday night, I relaxed on the couch and watched the BC, Norte Dame football game.

Sunday I watched my little sister Lily play lacrosse all day. She played 4 twenty minute games. It was super fun to watch her play, she is gonna be a force on the college circle next year.

We enjoyed a delicious chocolate truffle after her games while watching the Pats! And then shopped at the Merrimack Outlets, which are amazing. If you are in the Mass/NH area, I highly recommend checking them out. I got a couple shirts at GAP and saved $43.

It was a fun weekend, I love watching sports and being able to watch my siblings and family makes it all that much better!

This week is going to be busy, I am at an off-site meeting for Tues-Fri so squeezing in my workouts will be hard. But, I have been slacking lately so I am determined to get back on track.

Tuesday: Run 4 miles
