From cloth diapers to amber teething necklaces, I strive to only use natural products on my littles. I’m always willing to try new natural products that could potentially replace chemical heavy products in our home. Diaper wipes however, have never been a product I’ve successfully found a natural replacement for until now.
WaterWipes are chemical free baby wipes that only contain two ingredients, 99% water and 0.1% grapefruit seed oil. The ingredients alone are a great step in the right direction and caught my attention immediately. However, as great as these wipes may seem, they have to actually be durable and live up to their claims of being naturally pure baby wipes and my standards.
Scent. I don’t know if I’m just weird but I can’t stand a wipe that smells funky or just personally unappealing. I love the smell of grapefruit so I had high hopes for these wipes and thankfully they smelled great!
Durability. I don’t know about you but I personally don’t like cleaning a poopie diaper only to have my finger poke through the wipe. Then I get grossed out and want to rush through the diaper change before puking. The WaterWipes are extremely durable. I pulled one out and literally started tugging, twisting, and stretching to tear it apart and it didn’t budge.
Softness. If there’s one thing parents hate in a diaper wipe, its rough edges that rub our baby’s bottoms raw. The WaterWipes made changing a stinky diaper easy as pie. M had a really messy diaper so I grabbed the wipes and was surprised to find that it cleaned up way easier than normal. I don’t know if its the oil in them or what but his “stink” wiped off with no problem!
Lastly, wipes need to be so soft that skin to skin contact remains the same and isn’t interfered by irritated skin. WaterWipes has not only accomplished this but has also set an amazing standard to help promote that special contact.
