For the annual Samsung Unpacked event in August, the company promised us at least five new devices and delivered the Galaxy Z Fold 2, some Galaxy Note 20 models, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus, Galaxy Watch 3 and more. Following similar events from companies like Apple that postponed events online due to the corona virus pandemic, Samsung is broadcasting the event live from South Korea.

The company faces the same problems that many telephone companies face: Sale of the high-end Note 20 and Z Fold 2 in a pandemic.

According to Samsung, it is the best camera that has been built into a phone so far. The new S Pen is more precise (with up to 9 ms latency), a 240 Hz screen on the Ultra for less latency when it comes to game updates, and a partnership for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate that includes Xbox game streaming (no xCloud) for three months. And that doesn't apply to the new phones, but to all Galaxy devices.

This is an evolving story. The original post follows

Media representatives received an invitation to unpack with a picture of a copper-colored liquid splash. This could be an indication of the color of some, if not all, of the new devices being announced. The video above shows the tip of an S-Pen that comes with Galaxy Note devices. A circular drop of the copper-colored liquid drips from its tip.

Samsung will host a live stream of the event on its website.
