Despite all of the controversy and unnecessary criticism the game has received, Watch Dogs has managed to set a new sales record for Ubisoft.
According to the UbiBlog, Watch Dogs has managed to outsell any other Ubisoft title in day one sales. Ubisoft didn’t have any Watch Dogs sales numbers to share, which was a bit odd. This is still pretty big, seeing that Assassin's Creed is an established Ubisoft franchise, and an original IP managed to outsell it.
