Watch: Dan Le Sac Vs. Scroobius Pip – ‘Stunner’

Well well well, what a welcome reunion this is.  It seems that Sac and Pip have decided to team up once again, for the first time since 2010′s The Logic of Chance, and give us  this huge new track.

The duo is surely most remembered for their helpful advice on Danny Glover and other issues in ‘Thou Shalt Always Kill’ which was their big break-out single, but new song ‘Stunner’ is making big waves in it’s own right.

Scroobius Pip dropped the video on his birthday and seemed to be bowled over by a very quick and hugely positive response.

Wow. Overwhelmed. I can honestly say this is the most insane my twitter feed has ever gone. Thank you all so much.x

The track from their upcoming album Repent seems like progression from both artists. Dan le sac’s beat is intense, gritty and chopped; an industrial pounder which is (thankfully) more Portishead’s Third than anything Skrillex. Pip howls over the track, going from mad and erratic, to a machine-like lyrical rhythm in the chorus of ‘Ain’t sayin I love you, but I probably could’ which seems like the closest to mainstream hip-hop that this eccentric poet will ever get.

You can check out the ‘ghoul disco’ themed video below and can also download the song for free from the official website. Back of the net!
