WATCH Canadian Musician Colin Everall Perform TOOL’s “Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman)” on Solo Piano

Posted on the 26 September 2019 by Indiemusicpromo @urbandisavirus

Currently working his way through arranging and performing 3 full TOOL albums (Ænima, Lateralus & 10,000 Days) on solo piano, Canadian musician Colin Everall has made it to number 21 of the 32 tracks required to achieve the lofty feat. #21, and our video of the day, is the beautiful, odd "Lost Keys (Blame Hoffman)". This track can be found on the 10,000 Days album (2006).

About the TOOL covers project and his love for the band, Colin says "During those formative years, I discovered a band that sounded unlike anything else. Their music and art fomented a defining passion to challenge myself and the conventions of what is possible creatively. As homage to that inspiration and in celebration of the long-awaited new album, I will be releasing a new video every Thursday of my own piano arrangements for every song from Tool's "Ænima", "Lateralus" and "10,000 Days".

Interlude Transcript/Lyrics below:

Excuse me? Doctor? Do you have a moment?
A moment? What's the question?
More of a situation. A gentleman in exam 3
What's the problem?
That is the problem, we're not sure
You got the chart?
Right here
Not much here to say
No doctor, no obvious physical trauma. Vitals are stable
Name?
No, sir
Did someone drop him off? Maybe we could speak to them
Let's get some background on this fella
No ID, nothing. And he won't speak to anybody
Well, let's say hello
Good morning, I'm Dr. Lawson. How are you today?
How are you today?
Look son, you're in a safe place
We wanna help in whatever way we can
But you need to talk to us
We can't help you otherwise
What's happened? Tell me everything
